At Beyond Threads, we believe our business activities should enhance the lives and livelihoods of all persons involved with us, from the people we help to employ in cottage industries and small to medium factories in Peru to our employees who work here in the U.S. At the same time we believe in being good stewards of our natural resources.
All necklaces in our Recycled Textile Jewelry Collection are handmade in Peru by groups of women living in small rural communities in the outskirts of Lima. Over 200 women have been individually trained in the making of each unique piece. This empowers them to earn a steady income while simultaneously caring for their families. Each piece sold helps support the growth and social development of these small communities especially for our dedicated craftswomen.
